The Scroll-Stopping Hook Technique No One Talks About
I spend a lot of time scrolling through content. It’s literally part of my job. And over time, I started to notice a pattern: certain types of hooks would always make me stop. Without fail. And coincidentally, they were the ones that went viral soon after and sparked tons of engagement.
So what kind of hooks am I talking about?
They’re the ones that mirror what we’re all thinking or struggling with—Quoted and Question hooks.
Working with my clients and students, I also noticed something interesting: I would share a list of viral-worthy hooks with them, but inevitably they’d come back to me feeling overwhelmed. “These all sound so good! But which one do I choose? Which one is The One?”
It’s the classic case of choice overload. Too many great options can lead to total decision paralysis, and that’s exactly what was happening.
That’s when I started introducing them to the magic of Quoted and Question hooks.
These hooks didn’t just sound good—they had a proven ability to cut through the noise, connect deeply, and get people to stick till the end (which usually leads to posts going viral)
So today, I’m not only explaining these, but giving you ChatGPT prompts to help you create these hooks AND two different ways to write the content itself so it converts!
Let’s go!
