1. I sparkled up my Tone of Voice
Why it works: Energy & emotions convert wayyy more than information. Tone = giving your content some personality (finally!).
I stopped writing everything in the same "coachy voice" and started letting each idea decide how it wanted to be expressed. Some posts came out sassy. Others turned reflective. Some needed to be bossy, others were deeply empowering.
Every post became a mood—and that made people actually feel something.

2. I did more StorySelling
(Why it works: Connection creates clients.)
My short-form Notes were great for visibility, but my StorySelling posts—the ones where I took people inside my thoughts, moments, behind-the-scenes breakthroughs—are what brought people deeper into my world.
They didn’t go viral.
But they brought me DMs, replies, coaching clients, and trust.

3. I used Hot Hooks
Why it works: The first sentence makes or breaks your entire post. If people aren’t curious to read more, your post was a waste of time. Using proven hooks ensures your efforts are worth it.
I started studying what worked: viral TikToks, outlier Substack posts, my own top-performing content. And then I saw clear patterns for winners.
In my own content you’ll see me using these hooks regularly, cuz they work and I made a weekly series out of them:
🔥 “Hot tip no one asked for…”
🔥 “I’ve noticed that all ___ have these # things in common:”
OR, I started with what was Top of Mind for my reader:
a question they have, a burning desire, a frustrating mistake, a limiting belief, or a misconception they’re clinging to.

4. I did Viral Hacking
Why it works: The topic, the hook, and the format of the post (listicle, story, how to… whichever it was) made this post pop. If you use those but with your insights, you’re MUCH more guaranteed to succeed than with any other post you’re making from scratch!
Sometimes I’d stumble on viral content that wasn’t in my exact niche, but I knew it would hit home for my audience if I shared my take on it.
So I did.
And when I infused it with my voice, values, and lens—it worked.

5. I got over my pride and posted Comment Magnets
Why it works: Comment magnets = virality fuel + algorithm boost through all the comments you get.
I’d judged this content at first. I thought it was cheesy.
But when I posted one that actually felt me—it got 642 likes and brought me 150 subscribers.
Was every attempt a winner? Nope. I posted around maybe 5 of these so far, and only one was a hit.
But the one that hit? Gave me a big boost for such an easy to make Note.

6. I’m posting Activating “Quickies”
Why it works: They let people feel what it’s like to be around you, and they are infused with big emotions, plus people Restack them because they want to share your empowering message with their audience too.
These aren’t just short Notes.
They’re mini coaching transmissions.
Each Quickie delivers a jolt of my energy—my thinking, my standards, my unapologetic belief in you.
They justify your desire, validate your inner knowing, challenge your excuses, or drop the truth you didn’t know you needed.
They give permission. They empower.
They call you in and call you up.
And because they’re emotionally charged and crystal clear, they’re easy to read, easy to feel, and hard to forget.

7. I wrote Gap Illumination posts & Insight Drops
Why it works: Insights leads to income. Blindspot illuminating content builds trust, establishes you as the expert, and shows how your work bridges that gap.
This is doctor-level content.
Where your audience thinks that they have pain in the back of their leg…
You as the expert can illuminate for them that it’s actually a pinched Sciatica nerve, which cannot be solved by treating the leg, but rather working up in the spine.
You call out what they think is the problem, gently show them the real issue they’re oblivious to because they are not an expert with years of experience, and then share what you do to solve it.
When done right?
People say: “Omg! THIS is why what I’ve tried didn’t work! And I can see WHY THIS is exactly what will create a breakthrough.”
That’s when they pay you to help them transform.

8. I Doubled Down on what worked
Why it works: If it ain’t broke, keep using it, keep expanding on it, talking about it from different angles, turning short into long-form and vice versa.
When I saw a content type, structure, or tone pop off—I repurposed it.
Not copy-paste. But remix, re-angle, reformat.
Notes that worked became a series (my Hot tip series, Did you know series, Successful women do this series)
A quick Note became a blog.
A blog became a paid series.
A topic became a digital product idea.
